Bring new energy into the meetings and shake off mental and physical restlessness.
There are many reasons why short breaks are good during a study group meeting. Physical activity wakes up the body, and the extra blood supply to the brain benefits both concentration and learning.
A good laugh and a positive atmosphere make you more active. Use your body, do a yoga exercise, or a quick energizer. Spending 5 minutes on that is well worth it.
Try this one, for example:
1, 2, 3…11Can you hit the number 11? Each of you shows a number of fingers when “11” is said. Count the fingers together – did you hit 11? It may feel strange to shout “YAY” the first few times, but notice what it does to the energy when you dare to shout a little. |
