Code of conduct for the consumption of alcohol and drugs during Study Start

  1. Study Start is organised and carried out in a collaboration between faculty management and tutors/camp managers, taking into account the principles of Study Start, which apply at all times.
  2. Study Start is an offer that applies to all new students, and neither academic nor social elements are to be centred around exclusionary elements.
  3. Faculty management is responsible for training tutors/camp managers and, in collaboration with them, creating a good culture in connection with the consumption of alcohol so that alcohol never becomes a focal point but is always viewed as a free choice.
  4. If points 2 and 3 are not complied with, faculty management can introduce the necessary sanctions, e.g. by banning alcohol for a temporary period. However, this must be reviewed in dialogue with the tutors/camp managers at the end of the activity in question.
  5. All consumption of drugs other than alcohol is strictly prohibited and may result in a police report.

If this code is violated, “Rules on disciplinary measures against students at the University of Southern Denmark ” will be applied.

Individual education programmes can choose to draw up their own guidelines within the framework of the above alcohol and drug policy.
