When do I need an ID card?
You will need an ID card for all locked doors where a card reader is
located.
The doors are locked outside of the University’s normal opening hours.
SDU has a common electronic access control system. The purpose is to increase security and simplify the administration of access to the University’s buildings.
As a general rule, the University’s exterior doors are open on weekdays during daytime hours.
If you require access outside of opening hours, you must use your card.
You are encouraged to always have your ID card (= student card) handy, as some areas on campus are always locked.
How do I get an ID card?
You will receive a student card at the beginning of your studies. The student card works as an ID card.
Do I have to activate the ID card?
You must activate the card yourself.

- nypin card number chosen PIN
- Example: nypin 281213 6541
Remember to include spaces.
