Introduction days at the Faculty of Humanities

Study start in 2020

Study start is just around the corner and you can look forward to meeting your new fellow students and tutors at SDU's campuses.
We promise you a programme full of good experiences and plenty of learning.

Because of COVID-19 we are taking the necessary precautions. This means that there will be no events where overnight stays or shared transport is involved. A larger amount of these events will take place outdoors. Moreover, it can be necessary to conduct lessons digitally.

If you have any questions about how COVID-19 can affect you as a student at SDU, you can find more information here.

You’re new here – let us make you feel welcome

It’s our aim to make you feel ready to take on your Danish adventure, feeling more excited than scared. We will help you get all the practical things in order and start building a social network, so you can enjoy your stay here.

When is it?

The Orientation Days are always during the last days before the semester begins. See the programme for the dates relevant to you.

Should I prepare anything?

Other than what has been mentioned in the Arrival e-mail, you do not have to prepare anything! There are, though, a few things we would like you to consider before arriving. Consider the following a personal mental exercise, primarily for your own sake, and to ensure that you are properly prepared to begin your studies in Denmark.

Simply ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Why did I choose to study in Denmark?
  2. What do I expect the experience to be like?
  3. What do I hope to take with me in the future from this experience?

We are looking forward to seeing you and wish you a great start to your studies at SDU!
