Talent activities

Talent activities are for you if you are following your programme without delays and would like to develop competences beyond what your main programme offers alone.

Through talentprogrammes and activities you earn extra ECTS

All talentprogrammes and activities will be registered on your diploma.

You earn ECTS when you participate in talent activities. The extra ECTS does not replace the ECTS that are already part of your programme.

Talentprogrammes
At SDU we have multiple talentprogrammes. Read more about the specific programmes and how to apply:

Some programmes are interdiciplinary, which means that you will be collaborating with students from other programmes.

Talent activities in your programme
Your programme also offers different talent activities. For example you may be able to write a paper for a journal or participate in a conference. Either you or your supervisor will need to initiate the activities.

What is regarded as talent activities in your programme?

Below you can see what is regarded as talent activities in your programme:

  • Participation in relevant conferences.
  • Publication of papers in recognised journals.
  • Participation in relevant competitions.
  • Participation in relevant activities, that is not already part of your programme.
  • Participation in research and development activities.

There are the following requirements for talent activities:

  • The activities you choose to engange in must have a connection to your programme and you must be able to document the academic outcome.
  • You may not be delayed in your programme, either before or after the activities.
  • The activity you would like to participate in must be approved by a relevant Study Board.

To get a talent activity on your diploma there must be a supervisor or other academic professional affiliated with the activity. It is the supervisor/academic professional that applies for approval of the activity with the relevant Study Board.
