Specific competences for the profile in International Business

The focus area of the profile is International Business. 
The candidate has an advanced understanding of the international business environment. The candidate has a global perspective on companies operating in different national and cultural contexts, as well as knowledge of functional areas that influence management decisions in marketing. The candidate has gained knowledge and skills in using methods and tools that can support the company's relations with the external environment and the interaction between companies, governments and communities in an international context. This knowledge and skills provides for a career in marketing and sales, as well as a career in the management of activities in foreign markets, for example. in connection with subsidiaries, joint ventures, etc. Finally, the candidate has obtained skills in analyzing rules and legislation in order to pursuing a career in a number of areas, including market analysis, consulting, export marketing, marketing, distribution and management.

The MSc can choose and apply advanced scientific methods and theories for collection of data and do complex analyses of the conditions of the firm and set up new models of analysis and problem solving. The MSc can convey knowledge and discuss professional issues with colleagues, company management and external partners. 

Competences

An MSc in Economics and Business Administration can manage complex and unpredictable work and development situations as well as independently initiate and implement cooperation and take on a professional responsibility considering ethical and sustainability issues. The MSc can take responsibility for own professional development.
