DSAAS is a group of students, who arrange celebrations and academically related events, such as American Studies Day, Meet Your Professor-events, and an annual Thanksgiving dinner!
We differentiate ourselves from Symposion, the party committee for English and American Studies, by focusing more on having an academic aspect to our events, incorporating our studies and inviting professors – participating in a DSAAS event is often more down-to-earth than the truly great EngAm parties, but by no means boring! For example, our Meet Your Professor-event has taken place in Studenterhuset in central Odense, and our Thanksgiving dinner is a true American-style party, with a huge buffet dinner and football on big screen.
