CBS recruits new president from SDU
Peter Møllgaard has been appointed as the new President of Copenhagen Business School (CBS). He has served as Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences at SDU since 1 June 2022.
Dean Peter Møllgaard will take office as President at CBS, replacing former President Nikolaj Malchow-Møller, who resigned at the turn of the year. Peter Møllgaard came from a position as dean at Maastricht University School of Business and Economics when he joined SDU two years ago. With the new title of President, he returns to CBS, where he has previously worked as dean of research and head of department, among other things.
A faculty of change
As Dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Peter Møllgaard has been at the helm of developing the Faculty during times of great change.
-I am proud to say that this is the second president that SDU has provided to CBS in a short period of time. During his tenure at SDU, Peter Møllgaard has been dedicated in his work to ensure the strategic development of the Faculty. For that, he deserves our deepest gratitude. I wish him every success going forward, says Rector Jens Ringsmose.
Process for hiring a new dean
We have initiated the process of recruiting a new dean, who is expected to take office on 1 August. Until Peter Møllgaard’s successor has been recruited, Hanne Søndergaard Birkmose, Head of Department at the Department of Law, will be appointed as acting dean beginning 10 April.
