Check your registrations
When you are registered for classes, you will automatically be registered for the ordinary exam (1st exam attempt).
Always check well in advance of the exam which exams you are registered for, to make sure you are on the right lists, and keep an eye out for potential changes. You can check your exam registrations on the SDU Student Self Service pages and/or in the Digital Exam system.
You can only access the exam if you are registered for the exam, so remember to check your registrations.
Register for the re-exam
As a rule, you have three attempts to pass each exam. If you have not used all your exam attempts, you can register for a re-exam.
If you wish to register for the re-exam in the same exam period as the ordinary exam, you must register for the re-exam during the exam registration period, even if you have not yet received your assessment or attended the ordinary exam.
You can see your used exam attempts and register for the re-exam in SDU Student Self-Service pages.
Go to the SDU Student Self-Service pages.
If a course is offered for the last time, there may be mandatory and automatic registration for the re-exam.
If, due to unusual circumstances, you have used your three exam attempts without passing the exam, you can apply for an extra exam attempt.
How to take the exam again
You must register for the 2nd (and possibly 3rd) exam attempt. You usually have the option to decide whether you want to take the course again in the same exam period (re-exam) or if you want to wait until the next time the course runs and a new exam is held (regular exam).
This gives you two options:
Option 1 |
You can register for the re-exam between 1-20 June/1-20 January. You do this in Self-service. |
Option 2 |
You can wait to enrol in the course until it is offered again, but remember to check the exam regulations in the course description. Then you can follow the course again and take the regular exam for the course. |
Register for the exam without being enrolled in the course
You can register for exams without being enrolled in the course. You can register for exams until the 21st of September for winter exams and the 21st of February for summer exams. If you want to register for an exam later than the 21st of September/21st of February, you need to write to the SPOC registry. They will check if you can be registered for the exam in time and will register you if so.
