SDU no longer admit students to the Master in Middle East Studies

We no longer enrols students to your programme. You can read what it means for you right here.

As you probably know, in the summer of 2023 we admitted the last cohort of Master’s students in Middle East Studies.

Fortunately, you're off to a good start with your studies, and we will do everything we can to ensure that you have a good and rewarding programme.

With the final cohort, the programme's courses are phased out. If you follow the recommended course model/programme of study, everything is fine, and the phasing out means nothing to you.

If, on the other hand, you have courses you have not passed or courses you have not been able to take due to illness or maternity leave, for example, you must make sure you take the missing courses no later than when they are offered for the last time. You should also pay special attention if you are considering postponing courses in future semesters.

Classes will be offered for the last time when the 2023 cohort is scheduled to take classes. Exams are offered in continuation of the teaching.

In the plan below, you can see when the teaching will be offered for the last time.

Even if your missed courses are still being offered, you must meet your overall deadline to complete your Master's programme.

If you are affected by "unusual circumstances" that prevent you from taking the exam when it is offered for the last time, you can apply for an exemption to take the exam at a later date. Please contact the Student Guidance Service at Humanities.

If you have any questions about what this means to you, you are welcome to contact the Student Guidance Service at Humanities
