Confidentiality
The academic advisors are bound by confidentiality, so you can be assured that your conversation is private. However, they are obligated to report any exam cheating or other criminal activities.
What Can the Academic Advisors Help You With?
The academic advisors are ready to assist you with any questions related to the general study regulations at SDU.
We can provide guidance on questions related to:
- Applications for exemptions
- Credit transfer
- Time limit regulation
- Maternity leave
- Advice on individual study plans
- Help with getting an overview of your education
- Structure of the different study programs
- Opportunities along the way
Areas in which the academic advisors cannot assist you or give advice:
There are certain areas where the academic advisors do not provide advice, and these are:
- SU (student grant) regulations
- Job and career matters, including job searching
- Admission rules and procedures
- Exam complaints
The counselling and Study Support can provide guidance on the overall conditions for you as a student at SDU (changing studies, leave of absence, doubts about your studies, study techniques, motivation, etc.). They can be contacted at vejledning@sdu.dk.
