General Guidelines

All general information on the master thesis process, deadlines, submission procedure etc. can be found in the following guidelines:

Registration of master thesis and completion of contract, supplementary form and synopsis

The thesis contract incl. synopsis must be completed and sent via SPOC no later than 15 January. The form in SPOC can be found under “Study Secretariat”

You can read more about the synopsis in the General guidelines.

After the submission of the form, the contract incl. synopsis is sent to the specified supervisor. When approved by the supervisor the contract incl. synopsis is forwarded to the Head of Study for final approval.

Should your contract etc. not be approved, you will be notified by SPOC via your studentmail.

Examples of potential master thesis supervisors

The potential supervisors in the above document are from the Unit for Health Promotion Research and the Centre for Maritime Health and Safety (CMSS). However, you are more than welcome to contact any potential supervisors from other departments at the Faculty of Health Sciences or from other faculties at SDU, as long as the supervisors have a Ph.D. or documented research experience of at least 4 years.

Master Thesis seminars 

During the autumn (3. Semester) and the spring (4. Semester) there will be five online master thesis seminars.
Here you will get to hear about the thesis in general, topic selection, writing a synopsis, GDPR, methods, the discussion section and the oral exam.
