The Study Board is a board consisting of lecturers, students and perhaps the Head of Studies. The Study Board meets once a month to make decisions in relation to your programme and courses. They also deal with students’ applications regarding exemptions.
What can I use the Study Board for?
You may apply to the Study Board for exemptions, if exceptional circumstances keep you from living up to your programme’s requirements.
You may help improve your programme or courses
Apart from that the Study Board also deals with proposed changes to your courses, appeals and continuously work with optimizing these. If you have suggestions on changes to your courses, you may send them to the Study Board. In other words, the Study Board is a democratic body, where you as a student may have a say and have influence on the future of your programme and courses.
The Study Board is obliged to observe professional secrecy!
If you need to apply for exemption you may have very personal reasons for doing so. You may have to explain these to the Study Board, because they need a valid reason to be able to grant you dispensation (exemption). You may naturally find it uncomfortable having to mention your private conditions, but you should know that the Study Board members must observe professional secrecy.
