Student representative

It is of great importance that the students are widely represented on The Academic Study Board, as they make a big difference in relation to the development of the engineering programmes. Therefore their input is much appreciated.

All students can become a member of The Academic Study Board as a student representative. However, Please note that you must be able to read and understand spoken Danish in order to be able to participate in the Academic Study Board.

The elections of student representatives to the Academic Study Board are held every year in November. Approx. a month before the election, you will receive an email with information on how to run as a candidate. The election period, ie. the time the elected members sit on The Academic Study Board follows the calendar year, ie from 1 January to 31 December.

At TEK, 5 student representatives are elected to The Academic Study Board every year. To ensure that the different fields of study are heard, the students must be chosen within so-called areas of representation. In practice, this means that students must represent the following fields of study and cities:

  • 2 civil engineering students (bachelor of science/ master) from Odense
  • 2 bachelor of engineering students from Odense
  • 1 student (bachelor of science / master / bachelor of engineering) from Sønderborg.

If you want to stand for election to The Academic Study Board, you must have 5 so-called supporters who come from the same field of study and city as you do.

Read more on the page SDU Elections. If you have further questions about the election or how to stand, you are also always welcome to contact The secretariat of The Academic Study Board via studienaevn@tek.sdu.dk.
