Standard page - what is that?

All course descriptions within this line of study has been approved by the Study Board. The Board has decided upon the following definition of a standard page, which applies to all written papers with a maximum number of pages specified in the course description:
A standard page is 2.400 keystrokes, including spaces.

The maximum number of pages is calculated as X pages of 2.400 keystrokes, including spaces,  supporting documents (bilag) and notes, but excluding table of contents and list of literature (unless otherwise is specified by the course description). The student must calculate the total length of an assignment using this definition and provide the result on the front page of the assignment. If this information is not listed, the assignment will be rejected and an examination attempt is used.

If the maximum length of the assignment is exceeded, the assignment will be rejected.

For Bachelor’s and Master’s theses the following applies:

The assignment must have a maximum of X pages of 2.400 keystrokes, including spaces, but excluding supporting documents (bilag), notes, table of contents, resumé and list of literature (unless otherwise is specified by the course description).

The number of keystrokes must be provided on the front page of the assignment. If this information is not listed, or the length of the assignment is exceeded, the assignment will be rejected and an examination attempt is used.
