When and where should I show up on the first day?
The Intro Days take place at the end of August before the semester begins on 1 September. You can find the time and location for your first day in your Intro Days programme.
We recommend arriving early so you have time to locate your classroom. Remember to check your programme regularly for updates.
Where should I stay informed about my studies?
As a student, it is your responsibility to stay updated on schedule changes, exam plans, and regulations.
You should stay informed here:
- itslearning: Schedule, teaching materials, and messages from lecturers.
- Your student email (SDUmail): Official information from SDU. Check it daily!
- MitSDU: Study pages with rules, regulations, and guidance.
Which books should I buy?
We recommend waiting to purchase books until you have met your tutors and lecturers during the Intro Days. They will guide you on which books are most important and where you might be able to buy them second-hand.
What should I do if I get sick at the start of my studies?
If you are ill and unable to participate in or complete the study start test, you must immediately contact us via spoc.sdu.dk. In case of illness during the test, a medical certificate is required to obtain an exemption.
Have you previously passed courses (credit transfer)?
If you have previously been enrolled in another programme, you are required to apply for credit transfer. This means we will assess whether your previous courses can be transferred, thereby shortening your programme.
Can I get support to complete my programme (SPS)?
Yes. If you have a physical or psychological disability, dyslexia, or similar challenges, you can apply for Special Educational Support (SPS).
How do I get a good start to my studies?
Attend the Intro Days! This is where the foundation for academic communities is established.
By actively participating in both the academic and social programmes with your fellow students, you will have the best start to your new life as a student.
How do I join a study group?
Your tutors and lecturers will assist you and your fellow students in forming groups during the first weeks, ensuring everyone becomes part of a community.
