Employers are very interested in how you work with specific tasks and how you solve the challenges you face in life.  
An employer is looking you hire you, not your diploma! It is therefor important that you let them know how you will solve your tasks and challenges. 

Test your competences in practice

The best way to get an understanding of how you can use your learning in the job market, is to try it in practice during your education.
You can also do voluntary work, project work or find a student job. In this way you’ll begin to establish a network.
