23 November at 09:00: Voting opens

26 November at 12:00: Voting closes

27 November: Results are announced

 

Timeline for the Autumn Election 2026

Friday, 11 September

  • The election is officially called by the Election Committee.
  • Updated or new divisions of representation areas are published online.

Monday, 21 September at 12:00
Deadline to:

  • Apply for the abolition of a representation area division.
  • Indicate which electoral group you belong to.

Monday, 28 September

  • The Election Committee announces whether requests to abolish representation areas have been approved.

Thursday, 1 October

  • It is now possible to run as a candidate in the election system.
  • Electoral lists are published online.

Monday, 19 October at 12:00

  • Deadline for submitting objections to the electoral lists.

Friday, 23 October

  • The Election Committee announces decisions on any complaints regarding the electoral lists.

Monday, 2 November at 12:00

  • Deadline for submitting candidate lists. The election system closes.
  • Deadline for applying for a list designation (list name).

Thursday, 5 November

  • Candidate lists are published.
  • The following is also announced:
    • Where there are contested elections
    • Where elections are cancelled
    • Where there are uncontested elections (automatic election)

Thursday, 12 November at 12:00

  • Deadline to form list and electoral alliances.
  • Any agreements are published the same day.

Friday, 13 November at 12:00

  • Deadline for submitting objections to:
    • Candidate lists
    • List and electoral alliances

Monday, 23 November at 09:00

  • Electronic voting opens.

Thursday, 26 November at 12:00

  • Electronic voting closes.

Friday, 27 November

  • Votes are counted.
  • The election results are published.

Friday, 4 December at 12:00

  • Final deadline for submitting complaints about the election.
