Why have you chosen to run?
I am running for SDU's university election because I am passionate about ensuring that we, as students, are heard and taken seriously. I know how important it is that our education is not just something we 'get through,' but something that provides us with tools to grow and thrive. For me, it is crucial that we receive the best possible teaching and the right materials so that we can make the most of our study time. At the same time, we should have the freedom to take responsibility for our own learning and study on our own terms, because only then can we achieve both academic excellence and balance in our lives.
Is there a specific cause you want to fight for if you are elected?
I will fight for freedom and opportunities. No mandatory attendance, because life does not always follow a perfect plan, and we deserve flexibility. Recording lectures, because education should not be a privilege but a right that we can access when we need it. And a more diverse curriculum, because we need to be prepared for a world with many perspectives - not just one way of thinking.
What can be expected from you as a student representative?
You can expect a representative who not only listens but acts. I am here to fight for our right to a student life that balances academic excellence, freedom, and flexibility. I firmly believe that we should have access to the resources and frameworks that enable us to perform and thrive - at the same time.
