Pre-approval

  • If you want to replace compulsory course at SDU, the replacement must mirror the course description/study guide in your curriculum. Consider making a schematic overview comparing the course(s) to be assessed with the course(s) at SDU for which pre-approval is sought, incl. the learning objectives and content.
  • If you want to replace an elective, there are fewer restrictions, but it has to be relevant to your study programme. If in doubt, ask a student advisor.
  • If you want to do a project-oriented stay, the application must fulfill the guidelines your study programme has laid out for project-oriented stays abroad.
  • The courses/electives must be at the same level as your studies at SDU – i.e. graduate level.
  • The courses/electives must have at least the same ECTS weight as the corresponding course(s) in your curriculum. Courses/electives abroad are often viewed as a package that, as a whole, weighs 30 ECTS for 1 semester.
