The Lab is a workshop for students and staff at SDU.
Please note: The Lab at the Odense location is currently undergoing restructuring and refurnishing.

(NOTE: If you need podcast equipment or an iPad on a stand, this must be lend separately. Please contact staff in the library).
The studio is located in the library on Campusvej.
Access to the recording studio in Odense is available 24/7 in line with the library’s round-the-clock access for SDU students and staff.
Equipment loans follow the library’s staffed opening hours.
Equipment Available in Odense (for on-site use or loan):
- A PC with dual monitors, equipped with graphic design software such as InDesign and Photoshop, plus a wide range of statistical and simulation tools
- iPads (for video recording – incl. microphone, tripod, cases, etc.)
- GoPros (for dynamic video recording – incl. mounts, etc.)
- Osmo Mobile (handheld camera stabiliser for smartphones)
- Badge Maker – create your own badges (see manual here)
- Brother ScanNCut vinyl cutter
- Podcast equipment
- Voice recorders
How to Borrow Equipment from The Lab
The standard loan period is up to 1 week.
It is not possible to reserve or book equipment for specific dates in advance. If the item is available, you may borrow it, and if it is on loan, you can join the waiting list
Library borrowing rules also apply to equipment from The Lab. Items that are damaged or lost during the loan period must be replaced by the borrower.
