Why have you chosen to run?
I have chosen to run because I believe it is extremely important that students are involved in the decisions made at the university, as these greatly concern the students. I am running to create the best conditions for you as students to educate yourselves on your own terms and get the best academic outcome from your studies.
Is there a specific cause you want to fight for if you are elected?
If I am elected, I will fight to ensure that students have the best possible conditions to study on their own terms. It is often said that university students are responsible for their own learning, but with this responsibility must come trust that students can organize their studies in the most appropriate way. Therefore, I will fight to abolish mandatory attendance as much as possible and to ensure that all lectures are recorded and made available online for students. This will allow everyone, regardless of unforeseen circumstances, to get the maximum benefit from their education while showing trust that students can take responsibility for their own learning.
What can be expected from you as a student representative?
People can expect that, as a student representative, I will always prioritize the academic quality at the university. Arbitrary political considerations must never take precedence over the academic content of the programs. Additionally, I will safeguard the autonomy that students deserve in higher education and show trust that students can take responsibility for their own learning and manage the freedom that comes with it.
