Why have you chosen to run?
I have chosen to run because I am passionate about creating a better and more inspiring study experience for all of us at the social sciences faculty. As a student, I personally experience how important it is that we feel seen and heard in the decision-making processes. I believe we can do more to create a daily study life where there is room for diversity and debate, and where we are strengthened both academically and socially through our education.
Is there a specific cause you want to fight for if you are elected?
Yes, I will especially work to strengthen more diverse teaching and promote a culture where academic debate and critical thinking play a larger role. I believe that teaching that incorporates different perspectives and theories better equips us for the challenges of the future. At the same time, I want to create a more inclusive and accommodating study environment where all students feel welcome and supported, both academically and socially. Finally, I would like to work for more and better internship and career opportunities so that we can build valuable experiences and networks already during our studies.
What can be expected from you as a student representative?
As a student representative, you can expect that I will listen, take initiative, and work hard for our common interests. I will continuously be in dialogue with you students and ensure that the issues you experience are brought up in the Academic Council. I advocate for transparency and will therefore inform about decisions and the progress we achieve. Additionally, you can count on me to work purposefully for more engaging teaching and a stronger study environment, where our development as students and as people is at the center.
