Career Café: How to find a relevant student job

A part-time job can help kickstart your career and provide you with much better opportunities to enter the job market when you graduate. It also teaches you things that books can't, and it helps you build your network.

The impact of part-time jobs is also evident in the statistics:

One year after completing your studies, 20% more people are employed if they have had a part-time job compared to those who haven't.
Two years after completing your studies, people who have had a part-time job earn about 2000 DKK more per month compared to those who haven't.
But what is a relevant part-time job for you, and how do you find it?

In this Career Café, you will receive an introduction to:

1)How to use LinkedIn to identify the types of part-time jobs (job titles and workplaces) that are relevant to you.
2) SDU's job bank, including setting up a job alert.
3) How to use Infomedia to research potential workplaces – and in this way, become well-prepared to write a very good application and perform well in job interviews.
