- GPI - Global Patent Index currently free access with a profil.
- Esp@cenet - free database including 60 million patents from all over the world plus information material, tutorials etc.
- IPC - The International Patent classification.
- Danish Patent and Trademark Office - everything on Danish patents, utility models, trademarks and design protections.
- Danish Journals - online access to Patenttidende, Varemærketidende, and Designtidende.
- Danish Patent and Trademark Office - online direct links to all databases and journals from PVS (Danish Patent and Trademark Office)..
- www.styrkdinide.dk - Developed by the Danish Patent and Trademark Office in collaboration with the Foundation for Entrepreneurship and is a website that is specifically aimed at teachers and students who deal with innovation and entrepreneurship .
- WIPO World Intellectual Property Organization.
- USPTO.gov American database of U.S. patents back to 1790. From 1976 searches can be made in the full text of the patent, for patents from before 1976 it is only possible to search by number and class.
Patents at the library
Most Western countries have now made their patent collections available in online databases.
Patents can therefore be found by searching these databases, or in the common interface Esp@cenet which contains 60 million patents from around the world.
Library Facilities include access to the GPI – (Global Patent Index), which is an advanced tool to search the EPO's worldwide patent data.
The University Library has a unique collection of all Danish patents from the first issued in 1895.
Danish patents until 1972 are available in printed form; from 1972, as microfiche; and from 1998 on CD-ROM.
Access to the all patent databases is without charge.
