Application to SDU

Before each application round, we host a series of information meetings where we cover the process and the considerations you should make before you apply.

You apply for an exchange place via our online application system (click the apply here! button to the right).

Please take note of the following points when applying:

  • Prioritize the places you wish to apply for
  • You can list up to 8 priorities in your application
  • Set up a realistic and relevant study plan for each priority
    • Finding courses can be difficult, but it is an important step in the process. Good search words can be the university's name + incoming exchange and/or courses for incoming exchange.
    • You do not have to apply for pre-approval from the Study Board before knowing which exchange place you get, but you should know which courses you need to substitute. This is to make sure that the exchange places you apply for are actually suitable for you.
  • If you wish to attend the same university as one or more of your fellow students, remember to indicate their names in the application’s comment section and list the same priorities (see how this influence the allocation of places)
  • Submit the application within the deadline.

The International Office will seek to award you the highest possible priority on your list when allocating places. Find more information on how we prioritize applications on our Allocation of places page.
