If you don't pass your thesis

If you fail your thesis examination

If you fail your thesis, you will have used 1 of your 3 examination attempts and will be automatically registered for your second examination attempt.

Within 14 days of the oral defence, you must hand in a modified problem statement within the same topic as the original thesis. It is your responsibility to contact your supervisor as soon as possible after the oral defence to initiate the process of preparing and agreeing on a modified problem statement.

You have a new deadline of 3 months to submit your thesis report, starting from the date of your initial oral defence.

The same procedure will follow if you fail your thesis on your second examination attempt.
