Active Enrollment Requirements and Maximum Period of Study

Have you been delayed on your programme? Check the rules on study activity and the time limit for completing the programme.

Time limit for passing your education
There is a limit to how long you may take to complete your studies:

• On the professional master's programmes, you may take up to six months longer than the standard programme duration to complete your degree.

You can organise your studies to use the extra time yourself. This does not require an exemption. It may be a good idea to create an individual study plan. 

Active Enrolment Requirement: Pass at least one exam per year
You must pass at least one exam per year. This means that you, after your first year of study, at any given point in time must have passed at least one exam in the preceding year. If you have not, you will be withdrawn from your programme. The Study Start Test does not count as a passed exam.

If things do not go according to plan
If, due to exceptional circumstances, you are not able to meet the Active Enrollment Requirements or  complete your programme within the maximum period of study, you may apply for exemption from the rule/rules.
