Withdrawal from courses and exams

As a general rule, it is not possible to withdraw from a course or exam.

It is not possible to withdraw from a subject or an exam after you have registered. Therefore, it is important that you consider it carefully before registering and that you also read the pages here.

If extraordinary circumstances means that you need to withdraw from a course or an exam, you can petition your study board to be allowed to withdraw. You may apply for a waiver if an extraordinary condition prevents you from completing the course:

 

You use an exam attempt even if you don’t take the exam

You should also be aware that you use an exam attempt even if you don’t take the exam. This is also the case for re-examinations.
