Requirements for documentation

It is important that the documentation you send to the Study Board contains relevant information.

  1. If your application to the Study Board concerns illness, you must document it with medical documentation. This document must
    • Provide diagnostic information (if possible)
    • Give a brief description of the course of treatment
    • Document a temporal connection between the period of illness and the specific circumstances you are applying for dispensation from. It is therefore important that the doctor states whether you have been examined before the date for the documentation was issued.
    • Include a description of how the illness has affected / affects your capability to study in the semesters that are relevant to your application.

Eventually show this list to your doctor to make sure that the correct information appears in the documentation.

Please note that the Academic Study Board does not request health information from your doctor - the doctor shares it with you and you pass it on to the Academic Study Board.

In some cases, journal notes from sundhed.dk may be sufficient. In that case, you can obscure information that is irrelevant to the case.

  2. If your application is based on death in the immediate family, you must document this with a death certificate or an obituary.
  3. If you are applying for special examination conditions, you must enclose an SPS statement on the need for support.

You must pay for any documentation you need for your application.

All documentation must be written in or translated into Danish, English, Swedish or Norwegian.
