Digital Competences

Social science competences for a digitalised society

Denmark is one of the most digitalised countries in the world. The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences therefore attaches crucial importance to ensuring that all students develop digital competences that enable them to understand how digitalisation affects the society they are a part of and will take part in developing after graduation.

As part of the bachelor’s programme at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, an interdisciplinary course has therefore been developed: Digital Competences, an online course that aims to strengthen students' digital competences in the following five areas of competence:

  1. Information and data literacy
  2. Communication and collaboration
  3. Digital content creation
  4. Safety
  5. Problem solving

Within each area of competence, skilled teachers across the faculty have prepared 2-4 modules that all students must complete. The course amounts to 2 ECTS and will either be included as an independent course in the study programme or be integrated into another course.

Each area of competence ends with a test, and all tests must be passed in order to pass the course as a whole.

Regardless of how the course is integrated into the programme, the content and the form of the exam will be identical.

The course description for the course can be found in the list below:
