Death within the immediate family

Death in the immediate family

Death in the immediate family will include spouse/partner, parents, brothers and sisters and children.

If the death affects your ability to study and go to the exam, you can apply for exemption due to unusual circumstances. Documentation of a death in the immediate family can be a death certificate.

If you lose someone you are very close to, but who are not in your immediate family

If someone who is very close to you dies and this death affects your ability to study and go to the exam, you have the opportunity to apply for exemption due to unusual circumstances. It just requires your doctor in the form of a doctor's certificate to document the particularly close relationship with him and how the death affects you.
