The IMADA Students' Council is a students' association for all students at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. You are automatically a member if you study Computer science, Artificial intelligence, Informatics, Mathematics, Applied mathematics, Mathematics-economics or data Science.
We are based in our own room, known as the Sauna. Here you can play board games and enjoy a beer or soft drink with your fellow students across year groups and fields of study. The Sauna is also equipped with a huge flat screen with the possibility of competitions in Singstar and Mario Kart. In addition to the Sauna, there is the Spa, which is a large immersion room that is most often occupied by many students.
The students' council itself is responsible for many of the social events for students at the department. Once every month there is council meeting, which is open to all members. Here you can get updated on what is happening at the department and in the council. It is also at these meetings that you can sign up for new initiatives or become part of the planning of existing events. For example, in the spring semester 2023 it was decided that the Sauna should be freshened up, which happened with the help of the members of the students' council.
The IMADA Party Ministry is a sister association to the IMADA Students' Council. The Party Ministry is responsible for the biggest parties for the department's students and, among other things, also organizes popular cocktail bars and beer pong tournaments. They organize themed parties and cottage trips, which are always a pleasure to be part of and create close bonds among the participants.
