Why have you chosen to run?
I am running because I am passionate about creating an inclusive, fair, and supportive study environment at SDU, where we can all develop and realize our dreams without limitations. With a background in left-wing politics, I will work to ensure that the study environment becomes a place where no one feels alone or overlooked, and where diversity is a strength. I have several years of experience in student counseling and organization, including as a member of the board of Djøf Studerende and the Academic Council at the Faculty of Social Sciences. These experiences have given me insight into how we can make real improvements for students and ensure that their voices are heard – even in the larger decisions that affect us all. I believe that we can create a university where both studies and community support the well-being, development, and success of each individual.
Is there a specific cause you want to fight for if you are elected?
Yes, I am particularly running to strengthen well-being, diversity, and equal opportunities for all students. I believe that a good study environment cannot be created with a passive or neutral approach, but rather with engaged and targeted work for social justice. This means ensuring that no student stands alone and that we together create frameworks where everyone can thrive – regardless of background, situation, or personal challenges. I want SDU to be a place where everyone can develop and realize their dreams without encountering limitations due to a lack of support or understanding. For me, it is crucial that we create a community culture at the university where we lift each other up and work together to ensure equal access to resources and opportunities for all students at SDU.
What can be expected from you as a student representative?
As a student representative, I will work dedicatedly for the interests of the students and ensure that our needs and wishes are heard in all decisions. I will emphasize social justice and fight to ensure that no student feels alone or overlooked. My vision is to create a stronger and more supportive study environment where we can collectively tackle the challenges we face. Specifically, I will work to make SDU a place where well-being and diversity are prioritized, and where we can all develop and realize our dreams without limitations. As a representative of left-wing politics, I will focus on ensuring that we feel safe and valued in our daily lives – both in terms of studies, social conditions, and the support we need. I will be an active and visible representative who listens to the students, acts on their behalf, and together with them creates an inclusive study environment that strengthens us all.
