When applying for Below Zero, you must attach a CV and answer a couple of questions. It is important to clearly communicate your motivation for joining the programme and what you hope to gain from the experience, both academically and personally.
Selection is based on an overall assessment, where we consider your level of engagement and your ability to contribute actively to an ambitious and collaborative student community.
If you are selected for the next stage, you will be invited to an interview. This gives you the opportunity to elaborate on your application and learn more about the programme.
Please note that specific admission requirements apply, and remember to submit your application before the deadline.
You can apply for admission to Below Zero if you:
- are a student at SDU and are not behind in your studies
- are a bachelor’s student in your second or third year, or a master’s student
- can allocate time equivalent to 20 extra ECTS alongside your studies
- are motivated to work with sustainability and/or entrepreneurship
- are able to participate in the programme’s activities and workshops
You must be in Denmark for the entire duration of the programme, as students on exchange or internships abroad are not eligible to participate.
When you apply, you must upload your CV and answer a number of questions about your motivation and interest in entrepreneurship and sustainability. You should, therefore, not attach a cover letter.
The selection process takes place in three stages:
- Screening: This is where we assess whether the basic requirements are met.
- Application review: We review your CV and your responses.
- Admission interview: Selected applicants are invited for an interview.
Based on the application and interview, 35 participants will be selected for the programme.

You will receive a response shortly after the deadline, and successful applicants will be contacted directly regarding the next stage.
