Engaging Business and Society
During Business School Days engage business and society, so that you can get aquire tools and inspiration for your meeting with the world.
We collaborate with numerous companies and organizations, and invite you to get to know these better.
Whether you are looking for a job, for inspiration on your career path or our a just curious about what companies are looking for, you can participate in many activities across our campuses.
Join us at Business Lunch, a business career fair or share your thoughts on solutions at a Business Challenge - we focus on your connection with the business world.

You can participate in activities online and on all five campuses regardless of which campus you are registered at, as all campuses are part of University of Southern Denmark Business School and thus a part of your education.

Business School Stock Challenge

The stock market is governed by many factors, and in many ways it can help us understand more about the challenges of companies and society, such as economic recession, political uncertainty, rivalry from other companies, regulations and changes in technology.

LinkedIn - a multi-tool for your job search
Thursday 7th March at 12.15 - 13.30
Location: online - all campusses
Language: EnglishCreate a professional network and discover the job of your dreams! At this workshop, you will learn how to create an optimal LinkedIn profile – essentially your digital CV. Gain insights into everything from the composing your profile, and increasing visibility to developing a strategy for building and extending your network. These are crucial aspects that you need to focus on when applying for a job. The workshop is designed for both those who already have a profile and want to enhance it, and for those who are a new to this platform.

SDU Connect
Tuesday 5th and 12th March at 12.00 - 14.00

All events are in EnglishSDU Esbjerg is opening its doors for a two-piece event, where you can learn to identify your competencies and get to know 10 companies just a little bit better.
Be quick to sign up for this great opportunity, as there is a limited space of 50 people for this event. If the spaces are taken, you will be added to our waiting list.

Preparation: Prior to both events, you should have created a LinkedIn profile and read about the companies and their job postings so that you can select the ones you find most interesting. This information will be sent to you the week leading up to the event. Additionally, you should bring a laptop.
SDU Connect part 1 - Prepare To Connect

The event is in EnglishPrepare yourself to become a great connector
This day you will learn to become more aware of what competencies you possess and how to communicate these briefly to relevant companies.
The purpose of the workshop is to equip you for the encounter with the 10 companies. The workshop will include individual exercises and exercises in groups.The workshop is structured around 4 themes:
- Motivation – How can you communicate it to others?
- Competencies – How can you evoke them?
- Dialogue – How can you express curiosity about a company?
- Network – How can you expand it strategically?
Throughout the workshop, you will gain inspiration to:
- Increase your knowledge about the participating companies
- Raise awareness of what could motivate you
- Enhance your understanding of your competencies
- Be interested rather than just interesting
- Formulate specific curious questions for the companies
- Develop goals for expanding your professional network
Coffee, tea and something sweet will be served during the workshop.
SDU Connect part 2 - SDU Connect

The event is in EnglishMake important connections to improve your network
This day you will be networking with the companies, as you have been prepared for at the workshop the week before.
You will meet 10 local companies, where you can get to know them a little better and gain insight into each company and their culture.
The event starts with a thorough presentation of each company. After this, there will be an opportunity to mingle and network among these companies who will be ready for an informal chat with you at their stands.
Notice that you will get more information about the companies and job announcements on ItsLearning after 1st March.

Presentations
Each company gets 5 minutes to introduce themselves and talk about who they are and what they do. This way, you can learn more about the 10 companies.Networking
Each company has a stand. Here, you can have a chat with them and hear about their current job postings. Each company will bring along a minimum of 1 open job or intern posting each.Coffee, tea and soft drinks will be served during the event.

Business Lunch

Language: Danish and EnglishBusiness Lunch is an event, held by SDU Kolding, Design School Kolding, IBA Erhvervsakademi Kolding and Business Kolding, where students and different companies meet, to talk about projects, internships and collaboration in general.
All participating companies will bring specific ads/open positions, so you have very fine chances to make a deal. The ads can be seen on the educational institutions' job banks or on the ads boards for Business Lunch.
It is free of charge – so seize the day and sign up - and get a free sandwich for lunch.
