SDU course: Horizon Europe – Developing a competitive Global Challenges proposal

As the 2026-2027 Work-Programmes are now available, this is a timely opportunity to begin planning your proposals. This course is for you with limited or no experience in Horizon Europe (HE) collaborative projects but willing to embark on a partnering or coordinator proposal within the next two years.

The course will take you through the key concepts and inner logics of a collaborative HEU project to understand how to prepare a competitive proposal. Specifically, we will focus on the steps needed to build a strong consortium and develop a comprehensive and impactful project.  You will also hear from fellow researchers who have worked on HE proposals (both as partners and coordinators) and learn from their experiences, how they approached it and best practices.

Tentative programme:
  • The basics - what to know about HE pillar 2 funding opportunities
  • Roles and responsibilities – Managing Expectations
  • Consortium building
  • The three sections of the proposal: Excellence, Impact and Implementation
  • What to do next
Coffee/tea and lunch will be served.  Please register before October 20th.
