QM Research Seminar: Gapped Phases with Non-Invertible Symmetry

Given a fusion category C, states in a massive 2d C-symmetric open QFT are organised into C-equivariant multiplets of states in the corresponding IR TQFT labelled by a module category over C. The naïve lift of this construction in one dimension higher is unfortunately insufficient. In this talk, I will present recent/upcoming work with A. Grigoletto, where we utilise a new labelling (circa. ‘24) of 3d gapped phases to see how multiplets of states are organised in massive QFTs in three dimensions and beyond.
