As threats to European countries, including Denmark, are changing in nature, we are organising a morning community session to outline different dimensions of these hybrid threats and talk about what kinds of solutions, knowledge, and expertise the DIAS and SDU community has to address them. The event builds off a monitoring exercise and a white paper in the make.

About Ingvild Bode
Ingvild Bode is a Professor of International Politics at the University of Southern Denmark, where she is also Director of the Center for War Studies. Her research examines how applications of AI in the military domain change international norms, especially on the use-of-force. She has published extensively in these areas, including in journals such as the European Journal of International Relations, Review of International Studies, Nature Machine Intelligence, and Ethics and Information Technology. Professor Bode leads large-scale research projects in this space, including the ERC-funded AutoNorms project and the Independent Research Council Denmark-funded HuMach project. She also serves as an academic ambassador of the Lawful by Design Initiative led by Article 36 Legal.
About Claes de Vreese
Claes de Vreese is Director of the Digital Democracy Centre at SDU, Distinguished University Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Society, and Chair of Political Communication at the University of Amsterdam.
A leading scholar in political communication and digital democracy, his research focuses on the impact of technology, AI, journalism, and information on democratic processes and public opinion. He is a former President of the International Communication Association (ICA), a member of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences (KNAW), and has received numerous major research grants, including an ERC Consolidator Grant. His work has been cited more than 45,000 times.
About Fabrizio Montesi
Fabrizio Montesi is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Southern Denmark, where he leads the Section of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Programming Languages. He is known for pioneering Choreographic Programming and co-creating the programming language Jolie. His research focuses on programming technologies and mathematical methods for complex distributed systems. His work has been recognised with numerous awards and major grants, including an ERC Consolidator Grant and a Villum Young Investigator Grant.
