Nordic Centre Summer School

The Nordic Centre at Fudan University in Shanghai is a collaboration between 27 Nordic and Chinese institutions. As SDU is a council member of the Nordic Centre, our students are provided with the excellent opportunity of participating in the summer school

What can I study?

Graduate course: Business and Innovation in China

Intensive two-week course (5 ECTS),  1 July - 12 July 2024

The course is designed to provide students with an opportunity of gaining insight into the exciting and ever-changing business world in China. The course includes both an academic and a practical hands-on approach to business life in China. No prior knowledge about China is needed, but a good command of written and spoken English is.

Read everything about the course and the experience here.

How much do I have to pay?

You will have to cover travel expenses, accommodation, medical insurance, and living expenses yourself. You will also have to pay a participation fee of 1000 CNY (≈ 1030 DKK) directly to the Nordic Centre.

When you apply for a spot at this summer school, you automatically apply for a grant from SDU's Internationalisation Fund of 5.000 DKK, which can help you cover some of your expenses.

How do I get a credit transfer for the course?

You must apply for preapproval of the course from your study board. This is done via SPOC.

Once you receive your diploma, you must send this in via SPOC and you will then receive the credit transfer.

How do I apply?

Start your application here - click on the green box Self arranged. Log in with your SDU login and fill in application. In the field Type of stay choose "Self arranged study abroad" and for Type of Grant choose “Internationalization fund”.

The deadline for submitting your application is 25 February 2024.

We have three spots and will distribute them evenly between students from the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Engineering. With more than one applicant from each faculty, the spots will be allocated to the students with the highest grade point average. Students must be minimum 3rd year Bachelor students or Master students.

If you are selected for the summer school, you will receive an email from SDU International with instructions on the next steps in the process.

You can apply for a spot at the summer school even if you are going on exchange in 2024/25.
