Student counsellors at the Faculty of Science

The student counsellors at the Faculty of Science

We can help you with ...

  • recommended  courses of study
  • individual courses of study
  • applications for exemptions or credit transfers
  • what to do if illness or other extraordinary circumstances prevent you from following the rules and regulations that apply to you
  • what to do if you have failed an exam
  • your future education plans

We are all trained counsellors who know the Science study programmes and the rules and regulations that apply to you as a student. We know the administrative conditions and procedures at SDU in general and at the Faculty of Science in particular. Therefore, we can help you find the solutionthat will suit you best. If we aren't able to help you, we will refer you to someone who can.

As counsellors, we are all bound by our duty of confidentiality.

If you have academic questions related to a particular course, please contact the teacher.

Book a personal appointment

Write us at studyscience@sdu.dk to book a personal appointment.

A pre-booked counselling session usually takes about 30 minutes. We can meet either in person at our offices or online. Please describe in your mail what you want to talk about so we can prepare for our meeting.

You are also welcome to send us an e-mail if you have a shorter, clarifying question.

Drop in

From Monday to Wednesday 10:00-11:00 am you can visit our offices without an appointment.

A drop-in counselling session is scheduled to take no more than 10 minutes, so there isn’t time for a longer, in-depth talk. If you need to talk about personal challenges or need help writing an application, you should book a personal appointment, where we will have more time.

Our offices are located in the Science Faculty Administration, at Knoldene Øst.

Summer break

We are closed for drop-in counselling sessions from 1 June up to and including 31 August. Until 1 September, in-person counselling sessions are available only by appointment. It is still possible to call us in our opening hours or write us an e-mail.

We will be completely closed from 8 July up to and including 31 July. This includes all counselling services, including phone and e-mail.
