Periods with Classes, Periods without Classes and Holidays

As a general rule, each semester is 15 weeks in duration:

 

  • Autumn semester runs from 1/9-21/12 inclusive
  • Spring semester 1/2-31/5 inclusive

 

Some courses may be planned as 11 week courses. If so, this will be stated in the course description and the timetable.

 

The university hosts large events such as Open House, and the Annual Awards Ceremony and Banquet. In the event of these activities, there will be no classes unless otherwise indicated on the Notice Board.

 

Generally, no classes are scheduled for Tuesdays from 12-14. Various meetings such as information meetings or study board meetings are held during this time period.

 

There will be no classes during the following periods:

 

Easter: Tuesday and Wednesday before Easter and regular Easter holidays

Whitsun: Only the ordinary Whitsun holidays

Constitution Day: 5th June

The Autumn holiday: Week 42

Christmas and New Year: 24th December - 1st January (both days incl.)
