Jeg arbejder bredt med transport, produktion og omsætning af organisk materiale og næringsstoffer i akvatiske miljø.  

Det inkluderer blandt andet:

1. Primær produktion i havis og sedimenter
2. Mikrobiel omsætning i sedimenter  fra kystzonen til de største dybder i oceanerne
3. Omsætning og dynamik i synkende partikler
4. Zooplankton og stof omsætning
5. Eeffekter af temperatur, hydrostatisk tryk, vandflow for udveksling og omsætning af materiale
6. Sediment re-suspension
7. Betydning af faunaadfærd for materialiseringsprocesser  og stofudveksling
