SDG 3
Good health and well-being
Sitting still on a chair for many hours a day is harmful to the body. Even though SDU has this research knowledge, many employees have jobs where they perform sedentary work for many hours a day – and the same goes for many students in connection with lessons and preparation. SDU is therefore working to integrate more movement into our workdays. This can be achieved through, for instance, walk ‘n’ talk concepts, rethinking the workplace itself with more flexible options for changing workstations for different tasks, new movement options at each workstation etc. Read more about the ‘SDU Moves’ initiative here.

SDG 5
Gender equality
The aim of SDU’s strategic work on gender equality is to ensure that SDU is a diverse workplace with a creative research environment and an inclusive working environment. The strategic gender equality work at SDU has three specific focus areas: incorporating a gender equality perspective in all parts and stages of academic recruitment processes; ‘unconscious bias’ with a focus on how managers in particular can ensure decision-making processes that include multiple aspects and angles to the extent possible; and building gender equality statistics.
