How to apply for a sabbatical leave

You apply for sabbatical leave through SPOC

You can apply for sabbatical leave by writing to Registration & Legality spoc.sdu.dk.

Remember to supply documentation for one of the valid reasons stated below for granting sabbatical leave.

Applications are processed on an ongoing basis.

You can cancel your sabbatial leave within 14 days

If you regret applying for a sabbatical leave, you can cancel it within 14 days after the sabbatical leave has been granted (meaning the time when the decision was made). In this case, it needs to happen in writing to Registration & Legality via spoc.sdu.dk. If you respect this deadline, you will be able to participate in classes and examinations.

If you want to end your sabbatical leave after the 14 days

You need to send an e-mail to Student services via spoc.sdu.dk  no later than the date on which you wish to discontinue your sabbatical leave. You cannot terminate the sabbatical leave retroactively

Please note that you can not participate in classes or prepare for examinations taking place in the semester where you interrupt your leave. However, you will be able to receive SU again after interrupting your leave. Link to the SU office.
