Active Enrollment Requirements refer to how many ECTS points you must have passed in order to stay enrolled. Maximum period of study refers to how much time you have to complete your degree programme.
Active Enrolment Requirements: 45 ECTS in an academic year
You must pass exams weighting a minimum of 45 ECTS in an academic year. If you do not comply with this requirement, the university will contact you by the end of the year with a warning that you must pass a minimum of 45 ECTS in the following academic year. If you fail to comply, you will be withdrawn from your programme.
Likewise, if you have passed less than 90 ECTS by the end of the 2nd year of study, you will recieve a warning, that you must comply with the requirement within the following academic year. If you fail to comply, you will be withdrawn from your programme. You may, however, save up ECTS in order for you not to have to pass 45 ECTS the following academic year. For example, if you pass 60 ECTS in an academic year, you will only need to pass 30 ECTS the following year.
Maximum Period of Study
There is no limit to how long you may take to complete your programme. This means that you only have to meet the Active Enrollment Requirements.
If things do not go according to plan
If, due to exeptional circumstances, you are not able to meet the Active Enrollment Requirements, you may apply for exemption from the rule.
