Would you like to try your strength at creating a robotics, drone, or software company? xTech Innovator (xTI) is a specialized extracurricular program in which students from the Faculty of Engineering work together on a business idea and transform it into a startup. It is for everyone with an interest in robotics, drone, and software. This helps build your entrepreneurial and career opportunities for the future.
xTI is a program specifically designed to help students create a startup within the fields of robotics, drones, and software. The xTI is a unique program working closely with the robotics and drone industry. Throughout the program, students will be working on business ideas. You can decide to enter with your idea or pick a market opening to work on.
This program is targeting students in software, Robot systems, Health and Welfare Technology, and Learning and Experience technologies from The Faculty of Engineering. Other fields are also more than welcome. Entering the
xTI program, engineers will be given the right tools, business development skills, and resources to create new products. Students will be working in cross-disciplinary teams.
From August to November the students will progress through several workshops in idea generation, pitching, idea and market validation, business development, and prototyping. Each group will get access to a successful mentor who will help and guide each team.
xTI ends with a final event where the groups will pitch and receive feedback from professionals. The program is supported by The Faculty of Engineering and SDU RIO.
Business Developer Roy Lemminger (SDU RIO) and Associate professor Søren Jensen (TEK) are responsible for this program when the first round of xTI will be launched in week 34 (23rd – 27th august) and will have workshops from September to November. After xTI you will continue in SDU Startup Station and get help and sparring to continue working on your business.
xTI is an extra-curricular program. No ECTS will be given.
The deadline for sign-up is 1st august 2021.
