Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships

Below you can find information about this way of studying abroad.

Qualification

Education:
University graduates or equivalent from Danish universities who would like to further pursue their fields of study at graduate levels.

Age:
Applicants must be born between April 2, 1987, and April 1, 1999

Nationality:
Japanese Embassy in Denmark accepts applications from Danish nationals. Students with other nationalities will be asked to apply from their own countries.

Language ability:
Applicants must have Japanese ability sufficient for receiving education at a Japanese university in Japan.

Study period:
One year starting from Autumn 2017.

Departure will be either April or at the latest two weeks before the start of their own programme.

Scholarship Benefits

Flight ticket:
Round trip ticket to Japan will be provided.

Monthly allowance:
117,000 yen
*Approx. 7000 DKK per month depending on the currency rates.

Tuition and other fees:
Fees for the entrance examination, matriculation, and tuition at universities will be paid by the Japanese government.

Application procedure

  • The deadline for the Japanese Studies Program is Monday 20 February, 2018.
  • Application has to be submitted to SDU International (the International Office at SDU).
