The course is for all students at SDU who want to improve their ability to speak and understand German. Do you dream of a career in a German-speaking country or with an international company/organisation affiliated with the German market? In this course you will be introduced to and taught oral German as well as cultural and social issues.
The prerequisite for participation is that you have studied German in upper secondary school (or at upper secondary school level).
Practical information about the course
The course runs over one semester and begins with a kick-off seminar. The kick-off seminar is to take place on Saturday 1 February, 2025 from 10:00 until 16:00. After that, there are regular classes once a week, in weeks 6–17 (however, there are no classes in week 7 and 16 due to winter and easter break).
A two-day excursion to Flensburg will be organised as part of the course. The excursion takes place from 5 April to 6 April, 2025. You will receive further information during the course.
Teaching is offered in two classes: One on-campus class in Odense and one class online. However, depending on the number of course registrations, this may change.
The kick-off seminar is for both classes and takes place on campus in Odense on 1 February.
